We connected from our homes for this virtual interview.  E. J. lives in rural Oregon outside of Portland, and I am in the countryside outside Corvallis, Oregon. About This Podcast

 E. J. Russell is an author of at least 37 published books, including 5 series to date. She writes across several genres: romantic comedy, historical, paranormal mystery, paranormal romantic comedy, and supernatural romantic suspense.

She describes herself as a mother of three and a recovering actor who writes romance in a rainbow of flavors. You can count on high snark, low angst and happy endings. Reality? Eh, not so much. She lives in rural Oregon, enjoys visits from her wonderful adult children, and indulges in good books, red wine, and the occasional hyperbole.

Reality? Eh, not so much.

She’s married to Curmudgeonly Husband, a man who cares even less about sports than she does. Luckily, C.H. also loves to cook, or all three of their children (Lovely Daughter and Darling Sons A and B) would have survived on nothing but Cheerios, beef jerky, and Satsuma mandarins (the extent of E.J.’s culinary skill set).

At the time of this interview, E. J. was beginning several new projects the first of which has already come to fruition in the intervening months. She is authoring seires of humorous cozy mystery series called Crafty Sleuth with a co-writer. Both have taken pen names for this project. E.J. is writing as Nelle Heran and her co-writer is writing as C. K. Eastland. Currently two books are available: Die Cut and Mixed Media
